I was a little surprised at how well built this Cornhole set is! It seems GoSports pays meticulous attention to every detail and it shows in their finished product. The boards are ultra sturdy yet light weight considering it is all wood and plywood. The corn hole boards are ready to use right out of the box but can also be enhanced with your own custom painting or corn hole wrap. I debated whether I wanted to cover the beautiful and smooth wood grain, but ultimately painted the legs white and the siding blue to match the American flag vinyl wrap I bought. I would highly recommend this product, especially considering the low price compared to others with similar qualities. If there is a down size, it doesn't come with handles or a carrying case, but it is light enough where that should not be a factor. The packaging was very good even though a couple of corners were a little dented due to shipping. I would blame the carrier not GoSports for that and a little light sanding took care of that minor issue. You can't go wrong with this all wood set if you want a quality regulation size corn hole set that you can be proud!

The wooden boards seem to be decent quality, yet a little rough around the edges. However, the carrying case is not quality at all. The mailing box is in perfect condition (see photos), but the case has several small holes in it along the bottom, a few on the side, and one near the top. It's only been out of the case once, so I don't think it is from use. Maybe I received a carrying case that was returned? 9.23.16 update: GoSports saw my review. After emailing my address, they sent a replacement case for the corn hole set that is in perfect shape. This is a top notch company.

I purchased These regulation size corn hole boards for my wedding coming up in a few weeks and received exactly what I wanted: raw wood, regulation sized corn hole boards. The shipping and customer service are extremely quick and helpful. I purchased these boards with the intent to customize the top of the boards with a custom stencil and stain. After researching multiple customization shops and searching on Etsy, I came to conclusion that customizing my own stencil and staining the boards, although time consuming, would be my best and BY FAR, Cheapest option. I'm not a wood worker, nor am I an artist, and I have NEVER stained my own wood, but after watching this video a few times, got the courage to begin on my own boards: It's not difficult, but requires patience and can be time consuming depending on your level of perfection and intricacy [...] Materials: 4-5 old white rags 1 can of wood stain (color of your choosing) 1 can of semi gloss polyurethane ( super glossy will make the top of your boards extremely slippery when the bags land on them) 1-2 paint brushes patience Steps: this is for using stain only, no paint, where the stencil is raw wood and the remainder of the board is stained): 1. sand boards down with a 220 grit sand paper to smooth all surfaces (includes legs and sides of board) and ensure even stain coloring 2. wipe down with a damp cloth to ensure all dust and particles are off board 3. if using a custom design or stencil: using painters tape, tape off the top of the boards where the stencil will be placed 4. trace the design onto the painters tape and using an Xacto knife (or similar VERY sharp blade to ensure clean edges) trace over your design 5. peel off all painters tape other than your stencil/design 6. using one of your old rags dip it into the stain and start lightly wiping the stain all over the board, being careful to not saturate your painters tape with too much stain so that it bleeds through, don't forget the sides and legs of the board as well 7. using a clean, dry, rag, once the board is fully covered with your desired stain, wipe off any excess stain or uneven spots to your desired texture 8. let sit for minimum 4 hours to dry 9. using your 220 grit sand paper, LIGHTLY sand the boards and wipe down before re-staining 10. for additional coats of stain, repeat steps 6 through 8 11. Once you have you're desired stain, let the board sit overnight to ensure the stain has dried (this is crucial to ensure you don't lift up stain or let it bleed into your design when pulling your stencil tape) and slowly pull off your painters tape to reveal your design 12. Once the tape has been removed, you'll want to LIGHTLY sand your surface again so the poly has a smoother surface to stick to. 13. Using your paint brush, lightly coat the tops, sides and legs of your board, making sure to remove excess run off before drying. Poly has a self leveling characteristic so don't worry too much if it doesn't look even right away. Let dry for about 4 hours 14. using your 220 grit sand paper, LIGHTLY sand the boards down and wipe clean before adding any additional coats. 15. Apply desired amount of coats and let sit for at least 24 hours before actually using the boards. Hope this helps all that want to make their boards that much cooler!

Several years ago my hubby and I retired to North Carolina from Chicago. At one of the first get together's with our new neighbors they asked if we wanted to play "corn hole". One of the other guests saw the puzzled expression on our "yankee" faces and said, "I guess you didn't know that Steve had just gotten out of prison ..." nervous laughter followed and we asked exactly what "corn hole" was!!! After the prison comment we wanted to know what we were getting ourselves into lol! Maybe we lived in bubble, but we had never heard of corn hole - know to us a bean bag toss! Where corn hole comes in beats me. Anyway it is a fun outdoor game with neighbors, family and beer so we decided to get our own. We are very pleased with the construction and quality of this set as well as the beanbags that came with it. Think we will get many, many years of fun from it. Hubby wanted a plain set that he could decorate with his alma mater - the MSU Spartans (Go Green). Have provided a picture of the finished product. Good fun - get yourselves one of these and get corn holing today!

I ordered our cornhole set May 22, 2019 and received it 2 days later - very fast! The set is sturdy (no bouncing when bags hit the surface), non-decorated (I prefer the option to decorate it myself), ACA compliant (or darn close), with simple fold out legs (the other set I researched had detachable metal legs - no thanks). There was no carry case included, however, so I sent an email sent to customer service. Within 3 hours (!) Kate responded, and I had the carry case a few days later. This was a great experience all the way around.

This is a well built cornhole set, especially for casual players like us. It seems well constructed, but we just started using it. Time will tell how this holds up. I loved that we were able to order stickers from an online company to customize this cornhole set completely to our liking. It's nice this came with a blank canvas to customize. Note this set is lighter than other sets we've played with in the past, but is still around 40 - 50 pounds total! (still relatively heavy). Even though it's lighter than other sets we've played with, it wasn't a problem in terms of staying in place while playing.

After much searching, we decided to choose the GoSports undecorated Corn Hole Set. What a great choice! The set arrived in excellent shape and on time. It was well packaged, so there are no blemishes on the nicely finished boards. The boards are sturdy and well made, with legs that fold out to raise them for play. The bean bags are also sturdy and well made, and they come with a stuff bag to store them in. We can’t wait to decorate the boards. Since we will be using them at our cabin in the Rocky Mountains, we plan to purchase decals of moose, elk and bears – an appropriate theme for our area. Thank you, GoSports, for a great product at a super price!

I've ordered both the official and the tailgate versions of GoSports Wooden Cornhole Sets and both sizes are excellent in every way. The surfaces have the perfect slide-to-friction ratio and everyone who has played on them has had a blast! I would not hesitate to order these again as they make the perfect gift for a backyard party. Both sets are extremely well made, durable - yet lightweight. I prefer Go Sports version to the heavier and more awkward 2x4 versions sold at hardware stores and there's no difference in playability.

This set was definitely not on the cheaper end of the pricing spectrum, which had me worried on how well it actually was made. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was made VERY well with high quality wood and leg fasteners. The beanbags that come with this are heavy and well constructed as well. I would highly recommend this set to anyone looking to spend a few extra dollars for something that will definitely last a very long time. You get what you pay for.

Let me tell you something, and this is having built not one, but two cornhole games myself: BUY THIS PRODUCT! For $100, here's what you'll get: (1) high-quality, real-wood, American-made boards, (2) durable quality bags that are "official size, weight and dimensions," and perhaps the crowning point, (3) a nice-quality, carrying case complete with shoulder strap. Yes, you can MAYBE go to the store, buy the elements of wood, screws, nails, finishing product, sander/paper, and hole-cutter, but really, besides "the pride of creating something yourself," isn't your TIME more valuable? It certainly is to me. KUDOS for an American-made, right here in my own backyard state of California, for putting together a popular product with such quality craftsmanship. I am impressed 100% Side note: while there were two dinged notches on the corner--no doubt from mishandling from the deliver service, I let it go (even being the perfectionistic I am), because I/you can be sure the very first time I set this game up in the yard and invite some friends to come play...someone, somehow will ding it. Big deal. That's why they're called games and not priceless collectibles. I'll update this review soon, after I have those friends over this weekend for G&T's and Cornhole. Now, if we can just come up with a new NAME for this fun game!
