Captain here. I actually wrote a "How to solve Rubik's cube" e-book. The main lesson is that you can't trust your eyes, so learn how to hold the cube without losing orientation. Next up, note how centers always stay in fixed pairs, so you start with center. First solve the white center, the white side pieces, the white corner pieces, orient the first layer properly, move on to 4 center pieces perpendicular to the white center piece, arrange their side and corner pieces and then move to the bottom layer. Eventually you can learn how to speedcube, meaning solve any given Rubik's cube configuration in 5-6 moves with your eyes closed. *solves a Rubik's cube, which opens a portal to Hell* *a bald guy with pins in his skull emerges and drags me in* "That wasn't a part of our deal!" *disappears in the portal*
